One thing I really appreciate about Cohost is it showed me a side of the internet I hadn't seen before - one where a lot of people are still making their own websites, blogs, rss feeds, buttons etc. I just spent most of the evening looking at different peoples websites, thinking about how cool they are, and then clicking on other buttons to see other sites. Fucking fantastic

I thought it was really cool seeing what others have done so decided to make my own! I'm happy with how they came out, though may change them a bit more in the future.

Alright, I feel like I've been beating my head against a wall all morning to this question and I'm hoping someone here will be able to answer it: How do I add a gif on top of a background png image and export the whole thing? Because I can't do it well in Vegas Pro, can't do it with any of the Affinity products apparently, can't seem to get Aseprite to get things to look how I'd like them to. I feel like it shouldn't be this hard to just drop a gif on top of a static background, resize it, and export everything.

So, after messing around for a bit I got it:

1. Imported the Gif I had already and wanted to use as part of the button into Aseprite
2. Converted the canvas so that it was the same ratio as 88x31, but starting with the full height of the gif I was using. So the gif I had is 100x100, meaning the width I needed was 283.87.
3. Changed sprite size so it was 88x31 (Sprite -> Sprite size)
4. Imported the background I created in Affinity Photo and saved as a png. Had to open it in a new tab in Aseprite, change the color mode in the original to "RGB" (Sprite -> Color mode -> RGB), then copy the layer from the new tab into the original tab
5. Set the background as the background layer (right click on it, Convert to -> Background layer)
6. Copy the circle in the background layer for frame 1 (or wherever you imported it to), and copy it to all the other frames by clicking on the circle and pressing ctrl v
