I'm currently listening to episode 158 of Cortex and Gray talks about an experiment with Claude AI (an AI I've not heard of before) where researchers had two versions of the AI talk to each other, with a human watching (which it tells the AI), and according to Gray one of the versions started having a mental break down, and the one not having the break down begged researchers to turn off the one having the mental break down.

I'm looking to try and find the article or experiment he's referencing, but having a hard time and hoping maybe someone else knows what he's referring to? I'd like to be able to read exactly what was said between the two AI.

Hello,

I just found out about podcast chapters which are super exciting to me! However, I'm running into a bit of a wall with trying to implement them. There seem to be almost no programs for Windows that allow you to embed the metadata needed for them? Or, once you have exported the metadata, a way to check that it has been, in fact, exported?

I use Reaper for editing, and fortunately for me (at least, according to this thread I found), Reaper does support exporting Chapter metadata to mp3s. Great! I tried this, and realized that I have no way to actually tell if that metadata for chapters has been embedded or not.

VLC does not seem to support mp3 chapters? That or my audio doesn't have them embedded? I just simply don't know. If anyone has any suggestions on how to either double check the metadata is there, or a better way to do it, I'm all ears. Thanks!

After my last post, I realized that a fair amount of my favorite podcasts are not on here as tags. So I'll make the tags myself:

Hello Internet

Basically on permanent hiatus (gotta keep the dream alive), youtuber CGP Grey and Brady Haran talk about kind of anything. Honestly it's probably my favorite podcast, but no clue if it'll ever come back.

Dear Hank and John

This one I was kind of shocked to not see on here, but it's authors John and Hank Green answering questions and being goofy with each other. They'll also bring you all the news from Mars and AFC Wimbledon

Well There's Your Problem

An Engineering Disasters podcast which, within itself, is a disaster. It also has slides. I find this very interesting to listen to and learn about the different disasters that have gone on.

Cortex

Okay, this one is on this site already, but I wanted to put it here because I like it. Hosted by CGP Grey and Myke Hurley, they talk about mostly productivity stuff, but also their lives and general work flows.

Dungeons and Daddies

Not a BDSM podcast. This tag is also here, but again, wanted to include it because I like it. It features Freddie Wong from Video Game High School and Rocket Jump. It's a Dungeons and Dragons podcast, and honestly hilarious. The DM is a writer for the God of War games, and it's just so good. You don't need to be a fan of Dungeons and Dragons to enjoy the podcast it's just so good.
