I've became That Person and just tell anyone who links me that, they have to show it to me a different way because the link is nonfunctional now. I refuse to give twitter scripting access past the main domain, it refuses to load anything in turn. Even if I did give it scripting access, there's a very good chance that it will still not show me whatever I'm supposed to be shown (usually NSFW filters, which can't be bypassed without an account) or will heavily skew whatever I'm being shown due to threads being busted now. Based on this post, it might want even more scripts now.
For a while I could use Nitter if I really did not want to be that person, but that got cut off too. It's no different than linking a paywalled article now IMO.
The only two things I can do to help are not be on twitter, and not be able to view things on twitter. That's two (very very small) reasons less for anyone to post things there. But I suspect it will continue to tumble along until they break external previews entirely.
This will, unfortunately, continue to annoy people around me.
Yep, feels more and more like a paywall. Hopefully, the annoyances add up so more people would consider moving somewhere else, or at least creating mirror accounts.
