So Virtue's Heaven will be at EGX later this Month as part of the Leftfield collection and I figured, it might be a good idea to try to make something like an introductory area.

I like the layout I came up with and how I'll tie this character into the larger thing I'm trying to communicate here.

About ten days ago, I had this idea of taking the idea of the Crestfallen Warrior in Dark Souls and kind of turning it on its head?

The area is still a bit rough overall, mostly because I've run into a very nasty bug in the dialogue engine I've been using (I bought an external asset, because I didn't want to do deal with data structures and stuff). I would just leave it be, because you don't always run into it, but the Bug causes a hard-lock with a memory leak and I'd rather not have that happen while it's being shown at an exhibition.

I love how the the crestfallen warrior has become ubiquitous enough to be a sort of understood design trope. "Failed Chosen One™ candidate whose entire job is deflating your aspirations by telling you what you need to do while being a huge bummer about how hard it is."
