MOKKA

No more posting Jail for me!

After I learned everything there is about the human bone, I decided it would be more fun to blow up digital worlds.

You should wishlist Virtue's Heaven on Steam!

And Buy GB Rober, while you're at it!

I just realized that I don't think I've really shared any of my game design work on here, and honestly that's a bit of a crime. So here's the modest list of things that I've worked on, which are all available on my itch page! https://adibabidan.itch.io/

An Obituary ~ A short platformer based in a post apocalyptic Earth, scarred by environmental disaster. ~ This one is my pride and joy, as well as the first creative project of mine that I truly worked hard on to make a reality. I did all of the programming, designed the large majority of the levels, and wrote the music, as well as contributed to the narrative design. It's scuffed, it's tiny, it has a few annoying bugs and unintended visual quirks - and it's perfect.

Sprawl ~ A simple socially-conscious city builder. ~ Working on this game was really the first significant thing I worked on where I was much more on the back burner, supporting someone else's vision, and it was a great experience! For this one, I wrote the music, as well as contributed a good few bits and pieces to the design and programming. This game is a gem, and really came to its own through the work of my teammates well more than my own.

Darkout ~ Work with your past selves to solve puzzles! ~ This is one that I did with a bunch of random people over the internet for a game jam. I was in charge of mechanic and puzzle design, and probably did about a third of the programming in the initial jam period*. The jam was really validating for me as a designer, since the game ranked a lot better than I expected in the gameplay category.

*(the main programmer went back by himself to polish, so in the end it was definitely a whole lot less lol)

and lastly

Pickled Beats ~ Create a garden that generates unique music! ~ This was another jam game that I did with a huge group of people from my university! I ""wrote"" the music (but YOU get to make the arrangement), made the singular sound effect, and did a significant amount of the audio implementation. A very fun project to work on, and one that gave me a very fun opportunity to focus exclusively on music and audio!
