Wilbur is a five-year-old guinea pig I got from my old job at a pet store. They have a permanent head tilt, possibly because of a stroke, but not sure. Wilbur was dropped off to us because their owner couldn't or didn't want to pay for an ultrasound, which would determine if they had an ear infection or some other issue.
The managers at my store wanted to put them up for adoption, but also claim that they were one year old and healthy, which would get them adopted faster, and allow us to display more product. However, because I didn't know if Wilbur actually had an ear infection, which would be life-threatening, I had to adopt them in order to get them seen at a proper vet. (The store wasn't willing to pay. Please adopt from your local shelter!)
Luckily, Wilbur is fine – just a senior. But they're my pet now.
Wilbur will be in my comic along with Mr. Man and Timmy. Working on it almost every day <:
