sudden realization that this is likely going to be the first year in a LONG time I won't be posting my IGF threads on twitter. I'll probably crosspost them cohost/mastodon. Gonna be a weird, weird feeling.

I had a similar realization today that this years' Fallen London summer event won't have me tweeting about it.
It's gonna be really interesting for me to see how the like...reach stuff pans out. Does any site I'm on eventually get huge or do I find other ways to get reach on posts I want to have it, etc. A big part of the value of the advice threads for IGF was indies seeing them, after all, and I assume there was a similar thing for your event posts & your fan audience.
Yeah, with the Failbetter fan audience there's the Discord as a very solid narrowcasting channel (and the reddit, etc) but the Twitter was a place for looser posting that was still more visible for the fanbase (although there's a good number of fans on Cohost now)
I think they'll look quite nice on cohost, tbh. And will probably remain searchable for longer than your previous IGF stuff on twitter, the irony.
