the trick to eating avocadoes and them tasting good is to treat them like a time bomb that will go off within 12 hours of them becoming soft enough to eat. You buy them hard and then squish them a few times a day until they're ripe and at that point, no matter what your existing meal plans were, you have to eat it

I can and have eaten a whole plain avocado with just some flakes of salt on it, it’s delicious
The fridge gives you an additional 24-36 hours if they are ripe usually but it's still a risk
