it's genuinely kind of wild that Pacific Drive manages to construct a memorable and touching gay couple out of a fairly minimal amount of voice lines and JUST that. Incredible testament to the writing and ESPECIALLY the voice direction/acting

I just got to the part where Ophelia and Toby are the only ones talking during the mission because Francis hid in the bathroom to feel bad about his [spoiler]. You get genuine moments from both of them--Ophelia clearly wishing to protect his feelings, Toby knowing that Francis will come out and they'll work it out. It was such a sweet moment to happen while I was wildly hunting for lightning to charge my battery before I had to complete the mission in total darkness
Same mission where Toby asks her if she has any regrets and without a MOMENT of hesitation she says "From the second I heard your voice on this radio" and like damn girl, savage
When I played the demo I thought I loved Francis just because he sounds like a Half-Life 1 scientist and then this game made me want to cry about him.
