This new game in the nextfest, as far as I can tell, is literally a licensed-manga reskin of the devs' previous game, Hundred Days. Compare the UI especially. Kind of incredible this can exist in the modern day. Good for them, I guess...?

I just read a news post on the page for Hundred Days that says the company with the rights to Drops of God actually approached them about making a crossover! so instead of working on a France-based Hundred Days DLC, they just pivoted to making a Drops of God version of the game (I guess DoG takes place in Burgundy). sounds like it was a cool opportunity that they decided to run with

Genuinely kind of fascinating, but I'm definitely like... wondering how much they're counting on a new audience, because the differences sound pretty minimal.
yeah it's weird as heck! makes me wonder if the Drops of God people wanted their own separate game but didn't care if it was functionally just Hundred Days DLC, so they just made that?
