twitter's slow, weird demise has provided what may be the first opportunity in many teens' and 20somethings' lifetimes for them to reset their identity and recover from being Annoying Kids

twitter was kind of unprecedented in that it truly allowed you to dig up absolutely anything on anyone, even if it was a post that was 10+ years old. I think about what i was like when I was a kid, and you know what? I was incredibly annoying as a child. Like. I don't think I would be able to stand kid me now. Even early-20s me held a lot of uninformed opinions that I've rejected simply by virtue of being a lot fucking older and figuring shit out.
So there's something kind of nice in thinking that a lot of people in younger generations will finally get a chance to like... do that. Move on. have their past be forgotten. It used to be normal! It's probably healthy. I'm glad for them
