It's called Gimmick 2, but... I'm not sure what the gimmick is? Is the little guy named Gimmick? Is the star the gimmick? That big guy at the end is just Kirby. Does the game just want me to go play Kirby?
It's a sequel to the NES game "Gimmick!", but it seems to have come about of absolutely nowhere?!
(notably it also doesn't involve the original devs as far as anyone can tell)
Oh, I didn't know it went that far back. An odd game all around it seems.
the artstyle switch at the start of the trailer backfires horribly, because the new look is 100 times worse.
It is nice that the original late-era NES Sunsoft games are more readily available that don't want/don't know how to use emulators, but beyond that I don't know who this game is for considering none of the original dev team is involved. (Feels especially weird to hire David Wise as the composer for name appeal instead of the original composer who I think is still active?)
