I feel like Dungeons of Hinterberg hits a particularly weird and nostalgic note for me because like, living in vancouver you are always only a few hours' drive from Whistler which is, as I understand it, one of the most popular ski destinations in north america so it's like "oh this is just like when I take weekend trips sometimes" and I imagine that hits different from someone who has to go way more out of their way to visit an alpine tourist destination

Honestly living in SoCal, you're only a few hours away from Mammoth or maybe a 1 - 2 hour drive up to Big Bear and that was kind of the feeling I got with Hinterberg as well.
I don't live in SoCal anymore so going skiing or snowboarding is just out of the question for me now on a short notice :v
