I've put about 10 hours into Steamworld Heist 2 and my feeling is it's a pretty worthy successor to the first game. It's an iterative sequel, but dig 1 was great and dig 2 is great in basically the same ways. More of a thing I like is a thing that, in this case, I am 100% happy to enjoy
