it's genuinely kind of wild that Pacific Drive manages to construct a memorable and touching gay couple out of a fairly minimal amount of voice lines and JUST that. Incredible testament to the writing and ESPECIALLY the voice direction/acting

turns out the bodies of water on the in-game map match up pretttty closely to reality so it wasn't hard at all to make this

I am enjoying pacific drive WAY more than I expected to, out of a combination of

1. it's actually slightly less horror toned than I expected in that once you figure out what creatures do they're a lot less scary than they first seem, though there are exceptions
2. the core loop tm of going out and gathering stuff and everything going horrifically bad as you desperately try and get back scratches a real specific itch for me that not many games hit

ngl I was not expecting Pacific Drive to scratch a little bit of the STALKER itch (more the part where an anomaly is going to eat your face and you're confused and afraid and less the part where everyone yells "GET OUT OF HERE STALKER" at you)
