“What should I wear? I want to give Carmen as little chance of finding a flaw tonight as I can…” Mabel tapped her finger on her chin in sync with her foot as she stood in front of the closet. She was still wrapped in a towel after her shower, and was looking rather overwhelmed. In the background Delores cooed softly, lending the moment a very Pawson’s Creek feel, and truthfully she was having an incredibly teen moment.
“If you… If you could return…”
“I think you look radiant in all things, Mabel.” Said the caracal as they laid across the bed.
“It’s just a dinner at Taco Bell, love. I know this is important, but we don’t need an evening gown. Just take a deep breath, and don’t overthink it.” The dragoness piped in over the speakers.
“Thank you very much Neera, and I know that Relly, I do! I just… I need this to go perfectly!” She nibbled on her lip. “Tank top and leggings? Too casual… A cable knit sweater and a pencil skirt? Too bookish…” The catamount sighed loudly as she waited for inspiration to strike, pushing hanger after hanger past herself. “Cropped leather jacket, fishnets and… Tape?”
“Don’t worry about it, this is not the time for that Outfit.”
“Uhhhh-huh.” She clucked her tongue and kept going, but made a note to swing back to that someday soon, the jacket was hot as hell. “Okay so what about this vintage-style True North II ringer and my ripped capris?”
The silence was deafening before she snorted.
“Alright alright… Maybe not that shirt, but I like those jeans… They hug me just right!” She blushed as she imagined Volta watching her tail sway. She giggled before she dug further back. “Oh this one is cute…”
