So what's my deal, that's kind of a big question, both from an IC perspective and an OOC one, though I think in this case it's far more concerning IC events than my OOC deal! From an IC perspective, the brief brief brief version:
I'm an awoken shard of Igeyorhm from a timeline or reflection that is adjacent to the mainline one. A lot of RP folk I've met are similar with their personal stories. I don't consider myself a WoL as the WoL tends to be an Azem. I was the understudy, the fill in for my timeline as there were just enough variances to cause a differing outcome. I tended to call myself Hydaelyn's Advocate. As with the WoL I've lived lifetimes on lifetimes, getting born again, working through the cycle, dying, born again, rinse, repeat, trying to stop the rejoinings and the calamities. This particular lifetime, the pertinent one, I was born into a Garlean.
A middle class family of state bureaucrats, civic functionaries who were able to maintain a decent lifestyle, but always trying to get ahead of the pack. Networking with others in their fields if you will. They had a child as a matter of course rather than desire and handed me off to the aan that served the family. J'Tajhia. She's the one that raised me, and sowed the seeds of my life to come. Rather than seeing life through the blind filter of Garlean society, she added nuance detail, and tales of a world beyond the borders of the Empire.
The War College is where I wound up matriculating, and being steered into the Frumentarii. A place that let me further work towards a world that I wanted to see. I had few friends, but one of them was my medicus, Aulus mal Asina, who performed the magitek surgery I routinely underwent as well as putting me in the queue for the resonance procedure. That would prove to be a fateful decision.
The resonance procedure combined with Hydaelyn's blessing proved to be more than enough to loosen my memories and soul and cause thigns to start trickling in, and overtime, that became far more a flood until I could remember. Rather than subsume me, Igeyorhm and I decided to work together. I'm still me, but... more me. I suppose you could say.
I had high hopes for a Garlean Republic with Senatorial rule rather than Imperial. That was the goal I quietly worked towards within the framework of the Empire and the Frumentarii. Alas, Learning about Black Rose proved to be too much for my conscience, and I defected. Winding up with the scions a little after the time of the Battle of Ghimlyt Dark. In just enough time for everything to start going to Hades. Literally. My story progressed, more or less along similar lines from there to the main line. A few variances here or there. But I am active in modern Eorzea, yes. The rebuilding of Garlemald that Alisaie and Alphinaud spearhead is of interest. I am quite active in Ishgard, that's where home is presently!
So that's the Cliff's Notes version. Feel free to ask more questions or for specifics on certain things if you like!
As to my preferences and proclivities, I do tend to be rather femme leaning it's true. Though I do have exceptions. (Fox Mulder Nnnnggghhhn.)
