Typically, goths are characterized by wearing black, but that's actually a limit imposed by the human eye. What we think of as goths should be named ultraviolet- (association with black lights), xray- (association with skeletons), or even gamma- (association with outer space) goths. Remember that just because you can't see the colors doesn't mean they aren't there. For goths wearing colors in the visible spectrum, see visigoths

I actually ended up subscribing to cohost plus because I've genuinely liked this website and how it's been for sharing for my art. It's quiet and small, yet I get such a noticeable amount of attention on my work- including new paying customers- which really confirms to me just how good algorithm-free sites are to artists.

I know making money and having your stuff seen isn't the only metric for a website being good (far from it), so I'll add that the environment is very chill and positive too. I really like all the new people I'm meeting in this space who I might not otherwise have encountered online. I really hope this site can continue and be sustainable. It's so freeing not having algorithms that nerf my posts and being able to prevent every stranger online seeing my likes, follows, or how much activity is on my posts (seriously everywhere else is so encouraging of parasocial behavior and cyberstalking!!)

While there's been a couple problems on here- you sincerely cannot predict every issue that comes with running a community, you have to do it and learn imo- I still feel that the intentions set for cohost are good and I'd like to keep having this community.

I coughed up, too. I will again, as long as I can scrape the caps together to do so. This place breathed life into my writing again and that alone is worth more money than mortals can or should hold. If you can spare it, help keep it alive
