We’re a system of 50+ gender-fluid furries obsessed with transformation, clothing, costumes, gender, magic, and the ways they interact.
Most of us are humans, and we all seem to change back to our “default forms” over time, even recovering from transformations that would otherwise be permanent.
The doors to the Nonsense-Castle, our headspace, are always open to visitors, so feel free to swing by via our ask box! Transform a headmate, or strike up a conversation, or present some cool magical item or idea, or start an entire Plot Arc, or whatever!

Ok at this point this is gonna sound like a lot of my other tf-related chosts but there’s a slightly different angle I want to approach this from.

Imagine someone’s wearing a fursuit or a mascot costume or whatever, and then they start transforming into whatever the costume resembles. Of course, as with all of my transformations, they don’t merge with the costume or anything, they’re just the thing itself redundantly wearing a costume of the thing itself. Nothing new here so far.

It’s occurred to me, though, how frightening that would be. I mean, obviously it’d probably be pretty frightening to unexpectedly transform into something else at all, but aside from that, this specific scenario would be pretty freaky. That’s because it’d be hard to tell, both for the one transforming and for outside observers, just what the hell was actually happening to them. The target form looking so similar to the costume would create a very confusing, very unintuitive mid-tf look, given that the person would probably be freaking out and moving around a lot. If this setting is one where transformation isn’t really a thing that normally ever happens to people, then that’d make the realization of what’s going on even harder to arrive at. I don’t know what it’d look like in the moment… probably just really confusing and really scary. The discomfort or even pain that the transforming individual would go through would make things even more distressing.

I guess it’d also be hot in the sense that I think tf is hot. Anyways, uh, happy TF Tuesday.
