🎨 Tries to dodge, failing miserably! Your magic knocks her back, and she groans as the changes wrack her body. Resisting the changes only makes them more uncomfortable, the tails pouring down from behind her sending indescribable sensations up her spine. Newly swollen and padded fingertips and palms will surely give her trouble with wielding a brush! Rebecca’s protests quickly turn to vulpine whimpering as her mouth and nose push away from the rest of her face, and her elongating ears push her beret off her head. Her fur is gorgeous and golden-yellow, a coat that it’d be insane to dirty with paint…
GghhhhhNO! I-IT’S GONE! There was a glimmer… a barely-visible thread of that technique that I could pull, to unravel the chasm of mundanity between me and it! But now it’s gone! I-I can’t paint in this form! My hands, my balance, I’d have to learn it all again!
turns to you and glares
YOU… YOU did this to me… You will pay! I’ll MAKE you—
Her dramatic (and somewhat cheesy) moment is cut short when she trips on a can of paint, getting a fair amount of it on herself. In an attempt to wipe some of it off, Rebecca yelps at the action’s unexpected side effect of blurring and warping her very body itself! She rushes to the sink and tries to wash the paint off, only for her body to “wash off” with it… leaving a section of her human arm exposed underneath.
Rebecca stumbles back and faints, splashing a little more water on herself as she does so. Wherever it touches, her kitsune self melts away like paint, her human features visible underneath it. Some new power has been born, out of the sheer intensity of her will… You didn’t give her this power, but you did lead her to awaken it.
She is sweating, feverish, more and more of her fur turning to paint and washing away, slowly reverting her back into a human… You don’t feel an ounce of kitsune magic in her body anymore. Nor do you feel this new magic in her… looks like it has faded away once again, for the time being. Perhaps later she will learn to hold onto it, to control it… but for now, she just looks like a human who fell onto some half-finished painting of a yellow kitsune that somebody made on the ground.
(… I am not actually mad btw it’s just for the story. Had a lot of fun writing this, hope you enjoyed!)
