Well, if you're unsure, I can walk you through it :3
Likely the first thing you'll notice is getting a lot shorter! After all, most avali are between 3' ~ 3.5' tall. So as the machine whirls to life, it'll appear to get a fair bit larger as you shrink away from the ceiling and walls.
As this happens, your first feathers will be coming in. The way this is calibrated, it should start from your hands and go in. Your hands will grow claws as they become more like talons, but starting from the wrist it'll be a soft layer of downy feathers running along. But don't forget the wings starting to sprout from the underside! you'll notice two of your fingers becoming the tips of the feathers for those.
they'll start small, only a few feathers long, but will be growing throughout this process. Of course, there's also the matter of it now reaching your torso. Your shoulders slim down as you become more aerodynamic, and a mass of floof comes out of your chest. it travels down towards your waist in different colors, but also up towards your face.
Your mouth gets longer as your snout grows in, and your teeth get nice and sharp- perfect for smiling with! :3
you may also notice your hearing getting better as your ears grow long and pointed, with a second set growing in alongside. This is about when your eyes will get hit, with your sight getting weaker as they grow larger. (don't worry, i've got correctives if you want- but they're best used on the correct baseline, of course.)
As it reaches the top of your head, your hair stiffens and turns into more feathers. At this point, your wings are about halfway grown in, with the first set of shorter feathers finished and the second set starting to peek out. Meanwhile, the transformation reaches your hips, as a feathery skirt appears along the sides, and your tail begins to grow... and grow~
that tail will be as long as you're tall in a about a minute, as it slowly lengthens. the transformation reaches further down your legs, covered almost completely in very soft feathers. Your legs will convert to a more digitigrade stance, with your heels lengthening. Harder rows of plate will appear equal lengths down. One of your toes will be taken with the heel, becoming a dewclaw, while another disappears as you're left with three.
At this point, your wings are nearly fully grown in, with the third set nearing completion. Your tail is just about to full length. Your claws fully grow in on your feet. And voila, you're an cute little avali!
