That was SO good. Lunaeris finally getting through to her father about how his constant dismissal and patronizing is what nearly got her killed. Fuck. 
Also, I can't believe that that was what Kallie heard at the end of the last chapter XD And Lunaeris constantly readjusting and making things just right to not take her out of her fantasy >u< That is so.... Actually.... Hang on a minute.....
So in the last chapter, I thought maybe Lunaeris had arrived at the monastery, and was walking in to surprise Kallie.... And reading this now, I thought she accidentally cast the message spell in the heat of things while she was thinking about her...... But then Kallie said things got weird, and I'm suddenly remembering a particular conversation (or was it a post?) about paladins and wives and devotion........
What did Kallie hear? Why are things weird? It is a mystery 
"And then, when she has exhausted herself, when she blurs the line between dream and reality,"
"She can smell the faint hint of Kallie's sweat, of the spiced soap she uses... Kallie is right there with her. She is. She's right there. She's right there, she's right there, she's right there,"
Oooooo, that was great! Give it to him, Lunaeris!! But, also, I'm glad her father owned up to his bullshit and apologized. Family's tough. I love this!!!
I also really liked the bit about her mom. Because, yeah, sisters, you're right, using her dead mom against her is 1000% a dick move. But also, it's totally understandable that Lunaeris doesn't really feel that strongly about it. Families are tough, and weird, and death doubly so.
this is just super great. i love navigating-a-complicated-family stories, and i love even more the way lunaeris' father is not actually evil: just thoughtless and overprotective and therefore cruel. it makes it feel all the more realistic and compelling, and also makes it all the stronger when he walks it back and lunaeris and he come to a sort of peace!! (and her sisters!!)
also SOMETHING definitely happened and i dont quite know what but i cant wait to find out 
I tried really hard to make it so like, he has his reasons! you can see exactly what his thought process is, and why he thinks it is right, and why he's wrong. I'm happy it landed.
Something has occurred. The fun of two disjointed POVs, Lunaeris is now slightly ahead of the rest of the story. What happened between the last we saw of Kallie and the end of this chapter? 
Calling Lunaeris a coward for not actually moving her belongings out to an inn /j
Good, hefty chapter working through Lunaeris's side of the equation! I'm impressed that she let her dad's plan play out instead of forcing the issue early; 3 weeks is a long time to wait.

Wow this is a duzy. Lunaeris making great strides with her family as best she can and I appreciate the peek into why her father is the way he is. I can't even properly express the range of emotions I went through reading this one so just like, good job.
The only bad thing I have to say is… how dare you cliffhanger us all again! Lovely and engaging story as always!
