wait twitch snitches on you if you're watching a stream muted? what the hell? I was vaguely aware you don't count as a viewer if you're muted but highlighting that in chat is fucking weird. I guess the workaround is to mute your browser tab and keep the volume at full

i believe the badge for muted viewer is set by the chatter and not by twitch? luckily one thing that isn't absolutely horrid about the site (though yeah having it not count as a viewer is Not Great)
Ohh if it's decided by the user that makes more sense. I don't know how twitch works very well, I don't watch many streams. The thing about not counting viewers if they're not listening is weird and bad
Highlighting it in chat?? Does automod send a message like "attention streamer, this user is not listening to you"?

the user has a badge that just says "watching without audio", it's weird but if it's set by them I guess it isn't twitch per se
