It's a Java font bug where the cached index of character to glyph wasn't getting invalidated after the font is rebuilt/updated.

dorkq is a really good software name, definitely should have just renamed it to dorkq

Yup. There was a bug in Android that meant that under the right circumstances, a font could get corrupted in a way where all the letters get shifted by a certain number. Every letter in "dorkq" is three letters off from the letter in the same position in "grunt"!
