Craptober (and how to do  it)

  1. Start late (intentionally or otherwise)
    • this is definitely not just my excuse for not posting this until oct. 2  yup
    • also skipping days is 😎👍✨
      (tho ofc adjust if you “"” skip“"” so often that you're secretly actually just forgetting
  2. Follow the prompts of Inktober(or whatever
    prompts you want
    )
    given for your present day of existence
    • use whatever medium you want — this is CRAPtober, not Inktober and so it would logically follow that you would use—
  3. Draw well below your skill level (make it look intentionally crappy)
    • the goal is to get SOMETHING down on paper/whatever (bonus points if
      you use  ms paint
      )
      .
      this is good for if you just..... never draw things for some reasonnn
    • this is also good for getting over the need that something you draw has to look GOOD before you can enjoy it
  4. Add other self-imposed rules for beating Perfectionism.
    • e.g., to combat agonizing over small details, set a 5-minute limit for references, and a 20-minute limit for whatever it takes to make a crapdrawing
      like, this chiggen

      took about a minute to draw, but that was after 19 minutes of other chiggens that were just the wrong kind of crappy
    • e.g2., avoid (or at least limit) erasing or Ctrl+ Zing
    • adjust your rules as you go! if anything makes you not want to crapdraw, then ✨🌈change is possible😌✨
  5. Post crapdrawing(s) with the tag #craptober and maybe with the year, too (e.g., #craptober2023)
    • i won't hunt you down if you decide either not to post or to post without tags  dw

    ........okay and cool  that's it  hopefully this year's craptober will be at least as much of a success as last year  i'll be seeing your crapdrawingssssss maybe hopefully bloopsss
