With the final battle with Ganon behind him, Link can now attend to something more important...
This is an illustration that I painted for the "Homemade in Hyrule" illustrated recipe zine. (homemadehyrule) I was given the freedom to choose what food to paint into my image, so I chose to depict one of my favorite homemade chicken soup recipes, alongside a favorite snack of mine: apples with brie and honey. (The decision to include apples was also partly because of a suggestion by another zine artist, who reminded me that LTTP Link in the manga owns an apple orchard!) Painting this reminded me of just how much I love rendering food colours and textures.
I really wanted to show a post-game version of Link too, as that's something I've been wanting to do for a loooong time. There's just something satisfying to me about a fully-equipped Link choosing to return to his quiet life after the journey is done. <3
