Made a little meal! Perogies served with a scallion-bacon cream sauce.
Truthfully, it looks better than it tastes. I had to make a bunch of substitutions, including half and half instead of heavy cream and, because I forgot we were out, pancake mix instead of flour. π The sauce never quite thickened the way I wanted it to as a result, and I had to sloooowly simmer it down way more than the recipe called for. It also needed a little extra salt. Tbh, I probably could have saved myself an hour and had a better meal if I just bought some sour cream. π But I had scallions in the fridge I really needed to use up, had been holding onto this recipe for a while, and wanted to give myself a kitchen project anyway.
All that being said, they were still pretty fucking good. I ate five of them, and I'm about to go back for a sixth.
