like, no other website can you find quite as many fans of something like South Park who seem to be able to watch the show in a way that fundamentally ignores... The vast majority of the show? You'll look up like, a bad sitcom from 1970 and find 2 random girls dedicated to drawing fanart of the boys kissing each other and slowly realize that this isn't a side thing, they genuinely watched the whole show and came away from it thinking "what cute boys"
it's fascinating. Every movie that comes out has like a 10% chance to get a bunch of 16-30 year olds on Tumblr obsessing over it in a way that makes it feel like they watched something Completely Different. Not just "enjoyed this and made it gay", but like "watched a version of the show from another universe"
