Kinda fucked up the square one ngl, not enough crust for the size of the dish and it half froze in the fridge so it rolled out all weird. Plus, even though the butter was cold, I forgot to chill the shortening before making the dough, so the fat wasn't as cold as I would have liked while cutting it in, which is why it isn't quite as browned as it should be. But they both baked really really well. Basic apple pies, used gala apples, showed my partner's mother how to make em and it took all day cause the baking kept getting interrupted by people stopping by, but that just means pie for breakfast which I have never been mad at.
