The heat death of a certain era of superhero movie. Adam Scott plays young Uncle Ben in what may be the weirdest choice to include in a real movie a quasi Spider-Man film could make. There are two seperate scenes where she sees just far enough in the future to react by slamming a vehicle into the main bad guy. Some guy in our theater brought his very young children to see the movie and it starts with a pregnant woman being shot. That pregnant woman is Donna from Halt and Catch Fire. They cannot legally say "Peter Parker" without getting sued yet they can introduce Peter Parker's mother and have a scene at a baby shower where they are like "what are you going to name him??" There is a group of jungle Spider-Men called Los Arañas. Dakota Johnson looks sincerely annoyed at having to be in this. It gave me, no word of a lie, the same exact itch I get trying to think about how King Crimson's powers work in Jojo's Golden Wind. Wonderful cinema.
