I played that freebie game. PT: Life is Strange.

Akira Yamaoka did music. Matsuhiro Ito did monster designs and otherworld designs. So you got some authenticity in the corners.

I think this game might have left a few plot notes to lead into future SH projects. References to an old Japanese witch, and a note that says 'actually Silent Hill can be anywhere we want it to be now' Silent Hill F is my only hope, so yeah why not.

Anyway, I didnt like it! There was a few moments like the monster and some effects, and they swerve off of the bullying social media angle for a bit to something else which felt a bit more interesting, but overall you're gettingsomething that just feels a bit blunt. By the end I didn't really get what they were going for. Maybe I'm dumb but I just don't know what happened to who and when. MYSTERIOUS.

The last gameplay challenge you get is a Slenderman style FIND THE PAGES maze. And it's actually a frustrating one with a dead end that will guarantee your doom.

Oh you will see this suicide prevention prompt 5 or 6 times from start to end. Including mid game. I get it, but seems like a lot.

I'm all for trigger warnings, but that sounds like it just about ruins the experience. Failing that, enough to screw with the atmosphere a little too hard.
