I don't really play games on PC, but played the sky games on my old family computer years ago, and it struck me how these games were originally developed as PC games before being ported to places like the PSP, so it felt comfy to play without a controller.

Maybe more jrpgs have PC ports like this, not sure.

But the Sky games are 10/10 for me.

I think I did hear that Falcom had this PC first MO back in the day (no more though, I heard the PC ports have had issues since about when NIS started publishing them in the West, possibly sooner, I think they started focusing on consoles first since about the VITA).
I know that there are some Japanese games that are still pretty good on PC, All the Touhou stuff obviously and Wizardry I think and some other niche products, but most of those I've heard were ported since the late 90s were decried as really crappy, often acting like the mouse doesn't exist, lacking options and forcing weird resolutions.

With the availability of the Sky trilogy being so limited, the whole series feels like the defacto PC JRPG franchise. Helped by PC being the best platform for it thanks to mods and all the great work Durante does.
