The protagonist of FF6 is Sabin because he annihilates everything for me.

I had been giving him the +2 magic esper since blitz usually works off of magic.
He somehow has the highest strength on my team, and is tied for highest magic.
Only Terra's magic during Trance competes.
He also suplexs a train. Pretty hard to argue with that logic.
He was always one of my favorite characters in FF6. Him and Cyan.
Sabin's fantastic, but I've also always been partial to his big brother. Lad just busts out a chainsaw.
I love FF6, it’s my favorite Final Fantasy, but yeah cast is not balanced at all and Sabin is completely broken. Blitzes are free and powerful, his stats are out of this world, and you have access to him through a lot of the adventure.
Absolute main character energy for those reasons alone.
