Rewatching the final season after coming out really hits different. I was always aware of the trans allegory angle, but having it reflect my own journey makes it far more impactful. And for most of the show it's very underplayed. It's doubtful that anyone writing for Jadzia was deliberately evoking transgender comparisons. But someone... someone writing Ezri knew. They had to. Because she is SUCH a baby trans, and I love her.
