I had read part of it years ago, and what with the anime taking off, I figured I should finish it. I started from the beginning again, and have been binging it all week. I am not even sure what's going on around cohost right now, I've been so occupied thinking about Marcille.

The ending was lovely, and the story was enjoyable the whole way through. So many likeable characters, so many tasty looking meals. So many cute elves.

Anyway, what have yall been up to?

it is a pretty wild escalation, but it does feel like everything follows a logical progression. the world has rules, and most of them are set up prior to things getting really crazy. in any case, there's only a handful of chapters to go after that, and I think the ending is worth it.

admittedly it veers pretty far from the silly, wholesome adventure it began as.

Been learning a horde shooter that my littlesisterfriend likes so that I can play it with her (It's Darktide). I've created a space wizard secretly possessed by the ghost of a nonbinary lust demon (they're dating) and I've been working on his outfit. I've decided he'd be cleanly styled but Normal, so very Normal that it's actually unnerving and out of place next to the gothic stuff that everyone else has going on.

I planned to just focus on the fashion, not take it too seriously, and let myself be carried if necessary, but I found myself in the combat sims this morning, figuring out how the damage types actually work, because I can't be handed a system and not do that, it turns out.

You know, weirdly all my friends who were rabid for Vermintide seemed very lukewarm on Darktide. I think the main issue might have been a lack of content on launch, cause it does look pretty fun. Me personally, I was pretty lukewarm on Vermintide, so I suspect I would only enjoy it intermittently.
