but I wanted to point out something interesting I've noticed, as of ep9. No real spoilers, just a trend.
I think the show has very pointedly made the imperial characters a bunch of losers. They aren't cool space admiral types, or badass operators. They're a bunch of bureaucrats, clerks, and corporate thugs. They are embarrassing boot lickers of the highest order. The only storm troopers who have appeared so far are glorified beach cops.
This show is great.
Syril Karn is even more pathetic and he's the one shown to have the most zealotry for authoritarianism and order, due to emasculated ressentiment. The show is very good at demystifying and plainly laying bare the raw materials that create certain political psychologies...
