Being a white-passing half-Filipino guy in the US is fun because I have just enough whiteness that I pass enough for most white folks to go unnoticed, but if I bring up or they otherwise find out that I'm Filipino some of them get really weird about it. And then there's the super racist white guys that can somehow see past whatever level of whiteness I might have as if they can just eyeball the measurements of my skull from several yards away.

And when I say "fun" I mean more I'm kinda paranoid around some white folks.

I don't know how other white-passing folks can just side with white supremist types without issue like they think they won't be sacrificed immediately once their usefulness has run out.

That reminds me, depending on how tanned my skin is, it makes it way more obvious that I'm Filipino or some flavor of southeast Asian, but because I work at nights and spend most of my time indoors that is rarely something that comes up. But when it did, boy was that an experience.

I met a person at a party once who was part italian and she was talking about how she actually has an accent but she learned not to speak with it because sometimes people would treat her really weirdly because they assumed it meant she wasn't white. Like straight up had a story about using it around someone who then went "I knew it! I knew you were some kind of brown!"
