Fuck Nvidia so much...

Can't even launch Godot now to fiddle around in and I'm going to have to rollback the driver AGAIN

...not going to lie, whilst this is a hardware issue and mostly to do with said hardware manufacturer sucking ass; it's been enough of a point of friction over the last month that I may just go back to winblows for the convenience factor again as I just want to create things

Never thought I'd miss my old Mac so much

Oh cool cool cool cool cool

It's broken Blender and cut the rendering performance of all my 3D applications down to like a quarter what they where getting before

AND I can't easily install an older version of the driver so I need to actually rollback my drive, which wouldn't be an issue except I did a lot file management yesterday...

...sooooo I need to back all of that up onto my external drive, rollback my snapshot and then reorganize everything

I'm having a great time πŸ™ƒ

Lacey, I'm so tired

Everything on Linux works just fine until suddenly something like this...

I don't want to give into Windows, but companies like Discord, Nvidia and so on, have me out here grinding my teeth in frustration just trying to use my system

Part of this is my hardware choices, but as much as I am a FOSS enthusiast, I'm also an artist that needs shit to work and situations like this are getting in the way

It sucks that this is what may end up being the things that kill my Linux experiment, but at the end of the day I just need to be able to actual work ;w;

That's totally understandable yeah. Having reliable tools is important. But if it does have to end now, well it was a really good run this time around, a whole lot was learned that's for sure! I'm kinda anxious about it for the future since my PC is incompatible with Windows 11 anyways so I'll still likely go to Linux when 10 is no longer secure. Still not sure what distro to roll with, I want to do a bit more research. Leaning towards openSUSE or Mint atm.

As much as I love a lot of the features in SUSE, Mint is probably a lot more user friendly, especially as a Ubuntu derivative

I don't want Windows 11 either and I'm really uncertain what the future will hold for me as well as I reeaaally don't want to go that route either :/
