A ramble about identity

Having my main sona be "human" (fairy) in furry contexts I understand is uncomfy for some and I do still have my liom/fox/fluffball of a fursona as well for certain situations

But being my fairy self has been one of the most validating and plain fun things I've done, so I'm staying

Being a tiny fairy interacting with big cartoon/furry girls is literally one of the best things to grace my imagination

All of it is a culmination of lifelong desires overlapping perfectly on this Arcade Fairy expression

The fact it's lasted years now is a good sign it's staying

I know it's really not to the taste of a lot of people in the fandom

I know that a lot of folks won't even see me as a furry because of it, despite having drawn furry art for over a decade now and continuing to do so

But at the end of the day I have to be true to myself and that true self is a little fairy running her fantasy arcade flirting with cute furry ladies

I think so as well, even if it takes longer to find them, the quality of interactions is much higher

for the longest time i had trouble calling myself a furry because of not really having an internal image of myself as one, despite consistently enjoying the art and finding myself around furries. so this makes sense to me

i also kinda get like... having your form have a human-approximating appearance and having that be considered "human", but it actually explicitly not being human. like, its an important distinction.

I don't think having a fursona is nessicary to be a furry and I DO still have one...

But yeah I feel that the fairy form is a MUCH better fit for me, which you are right isn't "human" it's just human like

i spent a lot of my early time in furry (better part of a decade) resisting making a furry character for myself and instead playing as a human, and i found then as you see now that for lots of the best people it doesn't matter!

whatever you feel best as, for however you long you feel it, is always the best way to be and i'll be glad to know you as an adorable fairy running an arcade

Interesting we kinda went the other way around with the fandom. Having had fursona's that have never really fit properly for so many years before finally going. Nope I'm a fairy who hangs out with furries haha

It is certainly best to do the things that make us feel best. This is all at the end of the day about self expression, so it's always best to follow along with what feels right at the time, some of it sticks some of it doesn't and that's okay!
