so anyways I agreed to try running a Lancer campaign, I don't have much planned past just the first mission but that's probably fine, the important part I want to talk about is that I've been doing a very good job not tipping my hand too heavily and also honestly just pretending it's less coherent than I actually have it planned to be, I'm mostly proud of it for two parts

Graphic design isn't my forte! but I'm happy with how this turned out! The important part tho is the streaking meteors and the title "Distant Perihelion", because the first mission is disabling a fusion reactor (basically a miniature sun) and I'm going to mention meteor showers near the start

and that's because for the last phase of the mission I'm going to drop one of the meteors on their target and have a giant tentacle robot with a sword climb out of it, hence both their trek to the place where the reactor is located is their personal perihelion and the the boss monster is doing the same but from a different direction, they both end up at their point of passing closest to the (miniature, artificial) sun
The tentacle robot is actually an independent idea I've had ever since I got my hands on Lancer and played around with the NPC-building part of it and I'm really glad that when I sat down and drew it for the first time ever for this campaign it came out basically exactly how I'd been imagining it in my head
