Yee. We're in a period of social media disruption, and resultantly, it's good to diversify.
And on that note, the common Cohosters' habit of bashing other sites is tiring. The site has been good for what it is so far, and it's good to support something grassroots, but it's not like Cohost doesn't have its own problems or room for improvement, and routine engagement in posturing and hater behavior isn't healthy.
To be fair it's not exclusive to cohost. Almost every time I go on a given twitter alternative the main topic of discussion seems to be... How bad every other twitter alternative (and/or twitter itself) is. It makes me not want to stick around any of them tbh
