here’s the dorian scoop
- Went to Toronto, saw Carly Rae Jepsen for the third time, did various strolling about and spent too much money
- Feeling a little scattered in my library and information tech program (lots of small assignments…adhd kryptonite) but having a lot of fun. Went on a cool library tour recently
- Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. I have extremely complicated feelings about how quickly and heavily this has become commercialized, and may write something up soon.
- It’s also my anniversary with one of my partners! So that’s nice.
So this post isn’t JUST boring life updates, here’s some things I’ve enjoyed recently:
- Books: The Monsters We Defy by Leslye Penelope, (1920s historical fantasy), The Body in the Garden by Katharine Schellmann (Regency mystery), The Stand-In by Lily Chu (contemporary romance), Wrath Goddess Sing by Maya Deane (epic mythology retelling)
- Albums: Hamidete! by YeYe, Evergreen by Caroline Shaw & Attacca Quartet, Nocturna by Javiera Mena
- Food: Got a pretty good Korean corndog the other day. Had an amazing East Indian roti in Toronto before the CRJ concert. Italian gelateria near me makes an extraordinary London fog.
