The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters have reminded me of my love for screenshotting absolutely eveything as i play games on PC.
I love capturing the little stills where the developers are obviously trying to invoke something. A pretty vista showing what's to come, a moment of reprive after a battle as the music dies down, or a bit of emotional storytelling.
The NES/SNES era final fantasy games loved to use these beautiful pixel art vistas and they've stayed with me for years as some of my favourite imagery from this generation of gaming, but it wasn't till the remasters came out that i had a real opportunity to capture then in high resolution!
The remasters have also reminded me what an influental game the original Final Fantasy was. We still feel its echoes today in the naming conventions, musical themes and combat tropes used in the more recent games in the series.
