What's happening, what's going on.
I was in a bad mood this afternoon so I decided to try my hand at a visible mending technique I've had on my mind for a while. These pre-ripped pants have become too ripped for my liking, so I made some patches out of a fabric I liked and patched them up.
You can really tell which one I did first, and I'm not sure I'm a fan of the white embroidery floss, so I may pluck everything and redo it. There's a possibility that a wash might get some of the jeans dye into the floss though, so we'll see!
I keep trying to get better at embroidery, so I finally caved and bought a cute kit to follow in hopes that it'd help. I think it turned out pretty cute! I'm really proud of how the French knots turned out - I struggled for about an hour to do even one successfully, but once I got it I was able to do them basically without looking.
Funnily enough, it was trying to finish the back with felt that made me want to lose my mind. I tried for like an hour and ended up giving up and just gathering the excess. Guess that's the next thing I need to learn lol
