I found this really nice video on how to set up a little warning via obs for people watching your stream that an add is about to happen.
I really want to implement this into the stream to warn people when ads are popping up without me having to constantly pay attention to when an ad is starting but twitch's options are so.... terrible LOL
The way to get rid of pre-rolls for everyone is to run a minute and thirty second ad every 30 minutes but... that's so.... that's so annoying!!
The option that most appeals to me bc it seems the less intrusive is the ad option where i have an ad run every hour instead but.... it's a 3 minute ad instead which is.... also pretty annoying. UGH
I'm kind of left wondering if I should keep the ad break to be every hour, but it plays a 3 minute ad and people tuning in get some pre-rolls, or if I should do the most annoying twitch thing of having a 90 second ad play every 30 minutes but people new to the stream get no ads.
If I'm being honest I really don't mind playing ads every hour, I just wish they weren't 3 minutes ugh. I guess the smartest thing to do would be to make sure I try and schedule short breaks every hour (honestly probably a healthy choice) and make sure to play ads if I go afk so it pushes back the ads schedule hmm.....
Idk if anyone does something like this and what they think of it, any suggestions?
