(writing this down here in a shorter form so I actually remember what to talk about when I make a long blog post)
I've been playing Indivisible lately on stream and it's been incredibly fun despite my annoyance with some of the platforming parts of the game.
The story is actually pretty fun! It's doofy, but I appreciate how silly it can be, but more importantly I appreciate that the story doesn't really drag. Ajna is a wonderful protagonist who is trying to speedrun through her shounen character arc and I love her for that even when I can see her making HUGE mistakes while trying to get to the big bad end boss.
All the other supporting characters/playable characters are really fun too! I finally unlocked what looks like an ability training ground? might go through and mess with different team builds (though I definitely have my favs to put in a team. Thorani.... my beloved...)
Combat is honestly super fun even though sometimes I am absolutely terrible at it bc I constantly forget how to play the game. (and much like with stranger of paradise, its not the game's fault, I'm just VERY bad at games LOL) Combat is so clicky and fun ahhhh
What ISN'T quite as fun is some of the platforming.
Some of the platforming is fun when paired up with the different abilities you earn as you go through the story. But there are DEFINITELY some parts of the platforming areas that overstay their welcome and draaaaaag. Climbing up Mt. Sumeru was such a pain. Not because the platforming was impossible or anything, but it went on for SO LONG without anything happening that i was wondering if I made a wrong turn along the way. There just needed to be like..... much less platforming. It's starting to feel more like padding for the fast paced story and it's kind of a shame.
Aside from that, the only other bad thing I've found in Indivisible is some uhh unfortunate really dated easter eggs (like the one for Mike Z lmfaoooo yiiiikesss)
Idk how close i am to finishing it but i'm having a lot of fun :3
