It's a graph paper notebook. The first handful of pages have some attempt at actually mapping out a dungeon - not the one you found it in - but then it just becomes page after page of the Cool S. The Weights and Measures table on the back cover has conversion tables for Imperial, Metric, Elven (Reformed) and New Dwarven Standard.
