Cohost Sapphic September 2024 writing prompt: 11 — Girls who like coffee
"Dafuq," says First Aid Kitten Fluff, sleepily clutching her favourite mug.
On the canteen floor, Sandy, Whiskers and Socks are sitting in a circle, holding hands.
"We've been defeated," Socks says solemnly.
"Targeted in our gravest weakness," Whiskers wails.
"Dafuq," Fluff says, trying to step over them. "...Where — what have you guys done with the coffee machine?"
"Targeted!" Whiskers wails, and Fluff finally spots it: turned upside-down, and attached to the cupboard door handles with a bicycle U-lock.
"Well," Fluff says, "we had a good run, I'll miss y'all. Let's keep in touch — I'll be camped out in the nearest coffee shop—"
"Noooooo, come back," Sandy whines. "...We'll give you a to-go order?"
"Nope," Fluff says, rubbing sleep from her eyes. "You want any, you put pants on and get in the car. I'll give you ten."
"You don't have pants on!"
"That's why you get ten," Fluff says, and ambles out.
