posts like these keep getting me further down the "hmmm so look the aesthetics of digestion are really hot" hole
just do something to avoid the actual "death" or "destruction of body" part and make it more transformative and suddenly things that would previously make me go "nope" become very relevant to my interests
I'd imagine the scenario would also be fairly disarming(?) in-universe as well.
You'd be able to see a whole bunch of people-turned-goop having a great time on top of it looking and feeling really nice.
fun option being that if the prey concentrates hard enough they can probably just shape themselves back into themselves but good luck getting anywhere before you just get smooshed and churned back into goop again

What they don't tell you is that their job consists of a lot of running around and other physical activities so you might be in there all day.
Also they toss and turn around a lot in their sleep so you might be in there for more than a few days.
