Happy International Women's Day to the former head of my department who once, instead of fixing the numerous problems women face in said department or the fact that there were only like 5 of us, sent a $25 gift card with a "Happy International Women's Day We Appreciate You" message to everyone under him with a legal gender marked as "F" in our HR system. Really felt seen and appreciated by that
I did receive one of the gift cards because my legal gender had been changed by then, I apologize, I wrote this poorly and it sounded like I was complaining about not getting one
